Your dad is very right, you should follow your dreams, just as long as their actually your dreams and not what someone else wants you to do. Remember that parents want the very best for their children and sometimes push their kids a little too hard into a career that you will eventually end up hating. So stop for a moment, list what you want down. List what you want in life, what you expect from life, where you want to be in 10 years. Then sit down with your parents and explain to them what your goals are and what YOU WANT. They will understand and support you. Don't be afraid of them, they are merely there to offer you help and guidance and love you no matter what.
